Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress . Her most well-known role is that of Jane Seymour , the young woman destined to become queen of the third marriage to King Henry VIII in the series of the television show The Tudors and for her performance as Hannah in the film Journey to the Center of the Earth ( 2008 ) . Briem was first introduced to the world of acting as a performer at National Theater Iceland at 9 years old. She was a child actor in Iceland, participating in radio and television plays. Briem left Iceland for London aged 16 when he was part of a stage show called Lenin's Love. Briem, then 19, was accepted to at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. There she studied over three years. Briem earned her degree in Drama and won the John Barton Prize under the Scenic Fight category.
