Sandrine Holt was born Sandrine Ho on the 19th of November 1972. She was born in London. She is a daughter of Chinese and French parents. At the age of five and her family left China to Canada. She began as a Paris catwalk model before opting to pursue a career as an actress. Annuka was her first film role as a character in Black Robe from 1991. The role earned her the Genie Award, the Canadian Oscar.
